At EUCU, we put on a range of weekly and monthly events as part of our mission to give every student on campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
International Cafe
Buccleuch Free Church, EH8 9JP
EVERY THURSDAY 7.30-9.30PM
International Cafe Edinburgh (ICE) is a welcoming and relaxed space where students can enjoy a meal together, make friends and learn about different cultures and the Christian faith. Each week our team cooks a traditional dish from a different nation, followed by some social time and an optional group discussion about a passage from the Bible. ICE is open to all students, so we would love to see you there!
DM a Donut
DM a Donut is an opportunity to lovingly answer people's questions about faith, life and Christianity while giving them a donut and sharing the gospel in an accessible and welcoming way. We do this to give every student the chance to hear and respond to the good news of Jesus, trusting God to work through each unique conversation and connection. Join us September 19th, November 7th and December 3rd to be part of this!
Night Cafe
Night Cafe is one of CU's first contact ministries, where we head out to Cowgate to give out free hot chocolate to people outside the nightclubs. It is a fantastic opportunity to show people God's love by simply listening to them and providing them with a warm drink! Although Night Cafe is not transactional in any way (free drinks are truly free, no catch!), we often get the chance to share with people the hope we have in Jesus and explain to them why we are doing it. Many people have gone to other CU events and even attended church off the back of Night Cafe conversations. You don't need any kind of experience to get involved, just a love for the Lord and a willingness to serve God by serving your fellow students.
Campus Cafe
Campus Cafe is our primary opportunity to meet students, extending the love of Christ to them through handing out free drinks/refreshments from a stall on campus, and starting up conversations to get to know them and demonstrate they are loved, cared for and appreciated. Through our hospitality we aim to reflect Christ to students on campus, and to point them to other CU events and ministries where they can learn more about the person of Jesus and what it means to be Christian.
